Conrado Pesinato joined the team that made ‘More Balls to Picasso’, reinforced version of the 1994 album that features the largest solo hit by Iron Maiden singer
Three Brazilian musicians have entered the history of the Bruce Dickinsonvocalist of Iron Maidenwhen participating in More Balls to Picassoa remixed, remastered version with additional takes from the album Solo Balls to Picasso (1994). Conrado Pesinato, Addasi and Antonio Teoli They brought different collaborations to the new material, available on streaming platforms since last Friday, 25.
The trio lives in Los Angeles, in the United States. About each of them, it must stand out:
- Pesinato, born in Porto Velho (RO), is a guitarist, known especially for working with Graham Bonnetvocalist formerRainbow, Alcatratrazz and Michael Schenker Group There are a long time in solo career;
- Addasi has Palestinian origin, but was born in Dourados (MS), and produced bands as Nervochaos and Claustrophobiabesides having offered Sound Engineering services to Bruce himself on the album The Mandrake Project (2024);
- Teoli recorded orchestras in Cycles of Pain (2023), most recent album of Angraand in Day Out In Nowhere (2022), Graham Bonnet Bandof which pestinum is part.
In an interview with Rolling Stone BrazilConrado explains that everyone is connected from the figure of the producer Brendan DufferAmerican who for years lived in Brazil – to the point of speaking Portuguese – and worked with Dickinson in the aforementioned album The Mandrake Projectbesides being involved with the remixing of the entire solo catalog of Iron Maiden vocalist. Each brazuca offered a type of collaboration to More Balls to Picasso:
- Pesinato recorded additional guitars in “Shoot All The Clowns”;
- Addasi offered extra takes of the same instrument in “Tears of the Dragon”largest hit of Bruce’s solo career;
- Teoli contributed orchestration and instruments of originating peoples in “Gods of War”.
Regarding his work, Conrado explains:
“I added heavier guitars in the basis of ‘Shoot All The Clowns’. I folded all the bases. There are some Roy takes together. I also put some melodic lines, but also have roy takes, like original soils. Some arrangements for wind and percussion instrument. It was pretty grove, very cool. ”
Overall, most of the work of guitars More Balls to Picasso was assumed by Philip näslundSwedish guitarist who joined Dickinson’s solo band after breaking with Roy Zlongtime partner who even played guitar in the Balls to Picasso original. However, when both were on tour, Duffer considered it necessary to continue studio work. Hence the pesinato involvement, which recalls:
“Philip was on tour with Bruce at the time Brendan needed some guitars to ‘Shoot All The Clowns’. So he talked to Bruce, who also knew my work with Graham. Bruce is a big fan of Graham – has mentioned in interviews that his favorite Rainbow song is ‘Eyes of the World’sung by Graham in ‘Down to Earth’ (1979). So some of them suggested my name, probably Brendan, and both agreed that I would be a good option. ”
For Conrado, having a collaboration recorded on an album by Bruce Dickinson is the realization of a dream, “Like the boy who wanted to be an astronaut and in the future turns out to be one”. He comments:
“Iron Maiden is the band of My Life, has an effect in Brazil that is even greater than several other bands in the world. And his solo career was even more striking than Maiden for me, because the first rock show I saw in life was from Bruce in solo career, having the Adrian Smith On the 1997 guitar at Skol Rock, in São Paulo. At the time, it was even better than Iron Maiden [nota: à época, o grupo contava com o vocalista Blaze Bayley]. It changed my life. ”
Even away from the current formation of the group that accompanies Dickinson, Roy Z It has also been recognized by pesinate. The musician highlights:
“Roy Z is a very talented professional and was a reference to me – even in terms of representativeness, because he is a Latin guy, descendant of Mexican, playing with rock icons. I, like young Latin, had hopes too, along with bands as Grave,, Angra and other Brazilian women who tried to go out for the international scene. ”
Relationship with Bruce Dickinson
Anyone waiting for some crazy history from Conrado Pesinato with Bruce Dickinson will be disappointed. There was no glamor in the recordings: as the English singer was on tour, the Brazilian guitarist received the archives with production guidelines, recorded his parts and sent back. Very practical. Dickinson sent a message of thanks, congratulating pesinato for the work.

On other occasions, however, Conrado had contact with Bruce, basically through the appreciation by the singer by Graham Bonnet. He says:
“We met personally in 2022, when Roy said Bruce wanted to meet Graham. The two interacted behind the scenes and I even talked to Bruce as well. Leana love of person. Already last year, they played again in Los Angeles and we interact again. Now we have seen it in Finland, because Iron Maiden went to play in Helsinki and so do we. ”

Dickinson, by the way, is one of the guests of Bonnet’s next album. There is no release date yet, but Pesinato says: the two will do a duet in an unreleased song. The recordings should take place in August and will be conducted by the Brazilian, who, in addition to playing guitar, will sign the production.
WORK WITH GRAHAM BONNET
Conrado Pesinato’s partnership with Graham Bonnet began in 2014, disregarded the hiatus between 2017 and 2020. Together, the two recorded two studio albums: The Book (2016) and the already mentioned Day Out In Nowhere. The Brazilian is part of a heavy gallery of guitarists with whom Bonnet has worked: Ritchie Blackmore (node Rainbow), Michael Schenker (node Michael Schenker Group), Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve goes (both in Alcatratrazz), just to name the most famous.
Regarding the boss, Pesinato highlights:
“I have always liked his voice very much. I am very flattered to be part of his musical legacy, not only playing live, but also as a composer, because we recorded four live albums and two studio – what is going out is the third. My name is part of the career of an icon. It is one of the architects of this style of singing. Falsette, both have that typical British sarcasm in the lyrics. ”

As mentioned, Bonnet’s upcoming career plans include recording a new album, the third next to Pesinato, and the performance of shows around the world – this year, the singer has toured the United States and Europe. There are constant attempts to bring the 77 -year -old artist to Brazil, on a visit that would be the first since 2009. Maybe it hasn’t rolled in 2026?
