Lollapalooza Chicago 2022: 4 people arrested for stealing cell phones

Four people were charged and arrested on account of an alleged cell phone theft network in the Lollapalooza 2022according to information from the CWB Chicago. Last Friday, the 5th, a person reported that the phone was stolen to police at the scene, before taking undercover officers to the three people he believed had committed the crime.

Then, the officers observed these three individuals stealing another phone. As prosecutors reported, a woman began to distract one of the victims as a man took the phone and passed it to another woman, who placed the device in a bag.

The arrested criminals were identified as Ximena Rodriguez (24 years), Juan Ramirez (25) and Arceli Quinones (31). It is worth noting how the police found three phones inside a bag, with an identity card and credit cards from another victim.

A fourth individual, identified as Antony Bardales (age 41) was later arrested after a trio of people were arrested for stealing phones at the festival. However, it is unknown if it is the same trio, but bardales was found with 10 phones inside a bag designed to block cell phone transmissions.

As CWB Chicago explained, bardales reportedly said he bought the phones at Lollapalooza for $50, roughly $255 at current rates, and would use them for parts. Investigators were able to track six victims through the stolen cell phones.

Lollapalooza 2023: festival announces dates for the 10th edition in Brazil

O Lollapalooza Brazil announced, this Thursday, August 4th, the dates for the 2023 edition. The tenth edition of the festival in Brazil continues at the Interlagos Circuit, in São Paulo.

The celebration of this important milestone in the history of the event already has a date to take place. The festival will take place on the days March 24th, 25th and 26th. This year, the festival brought together 302,000 people over the three days, according to data gathered by the São Paulo City Hall.
