Izzy was part of the original formation, but chose to leave in 1991 after being sober and disagreed with the decisions taken by Axl. The former company added:

“I loved the way he wrote the texts and modeled them within that language. Great composer and a crazy loss for the band. What did we earn after Izzy went? A solo album of Axl Rose, and only that since 1991.”
