Music Curiously Mac Demarco’s Criticism of the Musical Class: ‘Claims’Artista and Canadian producer says that living in music is a privilege and should be something more valued by the very involved writing

Artist and Canadian producer says that living in music is a privilege and should be something more valued by the ones involved

After dreaming of stardom, many artists disappoint themselves with the routine in the music industry. The greater the success, the greater the load of responsibilities, which involve tours, interviews, recordings and other various commitments.

However, for the singer, composer and Canadian producer Mac Demarcothis kind of thought is unacceptable. According to Mac, living in music can never be a burden, but a privilege.

Because of this, he-who this Friday, 22, releases the new album Guitar – criticizes some colleagues by profession, who calls “complaints”. Mac Demarco reveals that he does not even view working with music a formal “work”.

In an interview with The New Yorker (via Ultimate Guitar), the Canadian explained his point:

“I would never call it work. I’m paid. But work is to fix an engine, cut the grass. Composing songs? Travel on vacation for free? Sometimes younger bands think: ‘Turning is so hard.’ Maybe these people have taken vacation all their lives? For me, I am in Chinaaaaa!

Mac Demarco admits that excesses, especially on the road, are large and do not please everyone. However, the artist says that traveling and knowing blules places (such as the China) pays any stress from tour commitments.

“I understand. It’s not for everyone. But I love it. I couldn’t go to those places before, and now I went to AP# China! … this is amazing! I’m going because I made up some songs? What a gift! “
