COVERS, COLBRABORATIONS & COLLAGESnew album of SERJ TANKIAN scheduled for October 24, reveals decades of unpublished records stored by the singer of the system of a Down. The compile project collaborations, covers and sound collages that remained archived.

Launch strategy and unusual collaborations

The single “Electric Dreams” inaugurates a ten -week strategy: Tankian It will reveal one track a week until the full release. “These are pre-existing archivals recordings, some a long time ago,” explains the artist, following the philosophy of EP Foundations 2024.

Collaborations surprise by diversity, including the electronic producer Deadmau5the New Zealand singer Rifle bic and Lucas Vidal. COVERS have covered since Chris de Burgh Even the Armenian composer RUBEN HAKHVERDYANconnecting Tankian to cultural roots. The artist grew up listening to traditional Armenian music in Lebanon, making these influences especially significant. Tankian Promises weekly videos explaining the story of each song, adding context to the archival records.

The launch coincides with the return of system of a Down to the American stages. The band will perform at stadiums from August 27 and 28 at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.

Foundations had introduced the most retrospective concept, including songs originally written for the SOAD and others recorded during ELECT THE DEAD (2007). Success encouraged Tankian expanding the file, demonstrating vast unlawful records.
