Curator of the festival, which takes place in SP next March, surprised with the choice of some bands that escape from Indie and range from retro to HC
As in other years, the lineup of Lollapalooza Brasil 2026 brought a series of curious attractions amid the main ones. There are, of course, popular names of the size of Sabrina Carpenter, Tyler The Creator, Defton and Lordas well as artists and bands in Franca Ascension, such as Chappell Roan, Turnstile, Dochii, Lola Young and FBC. But it didn’t stop there.
Specifically inside rock and its subgenres, the event organization has caprimous this time with some escape from the indie standard, which usually guides curatorship. The following list highlights 5 less known attractions that fit this standard.

5 Less known attractions of rock and even blues in Lollapalooza 2026
The Warning
Another random roll for the young Mexican sisters Daniela (voice and guitar), Pauline (battery) and Alejandra Villarreal Vélez (low). After debuting in Brazil opening for pop punk icons Offspringin March, The Warning Returns now as part of an alternative festival.
Its sound does not fit any of these possibilities, but has the potential to captivate. With four albums released, the trio bets on a modern and affordable hard rock. You can not deny the strong influence of the muse, especially in the construction of riffs and use of effects.

Your most recent album, KEEP ME FED (2024), was the first to enter the American charts (in 39th place). They accumulate 1 million Instagram followers and a slightly larger number of monthly listeners on Spotify. Excellent moment. All that remains to be converted to global attention, as fan club dedicated aside, they are giants only in their home country-and entry into Lollapalooza Brasil can help consolidate them here.

Hurricanes
One of the most read criticism of the best of the best of blues and rock 2025 festival brought the Hurricanes as the main character. The group formed in Rio Grande do Sul, but based in São Paulo had its presentation highlighted in Rolling Stone Brazil as the title: “The Brazilian band applauded before even songs end up in Best of Blues and Rock”. And they got the feat narrated in the text even from a small audience.

The scenario to be found in Lollapalooza should be no different: by position on the poster, Hurricanes should open any of the three days of the event. What changes is the environment, since it is a more alternative festival, contrasting with its retro rock sound and highly influenced by LED ZEPPELIN, Bad Company and Black Crowes.
But it always works out in the end if the sound is cool – and that the quartet composed of Rodrigo Cezimbra (voice), Leo Mayer (guitar), Henrique Cezarino (low) and Guilherme Moraes (Battery) can offer, with repertoire based on its namesake debut album and the sequence Back to The Basement (2024).

Before performing at Lolla, Hurricanes perform at the event Rolling Stone Sessionsto be held at the charming Blue Note São Paulo, October 21st. Tickets go on sale on the EVENTIM website. Needless to say, we recommend it, right?

Worst
With regard to national attraction, perhaps one of Lollapalooza’s biggest surprises in recent years. The Paulistana Band Worst Practice a hardcore punk in the New York footprint, with heavy doses of heavy and aggressiveness that at certain times slim into the extreme metal. Little to do with the festival – which is great.
In activity since 2011, they were in a gap between 2019 and 2022. Today they have six albums released – the most recent, Fleshcame out in July.
THIAGO MONSTRINHO (voice), César Covero (guitar), Adriano Vilela (low) and Bruno Santin (battery) compose the group, highlighting the last, which worked for years as Drum Tech de ELOY CASAGRANDE node Grave and passed briefly through Project46. More recently, the quartet toured Europe, with visits praised to Portugal and Tchécia.
Artur Menezes
Born in Fortaleza and based in the United States, Artur Menezes It is one of the big names in contemporary rock blues. Some of their expressive deeds include opening to the legend Buddy Guyrecording with Joe Bonamassa (perhaps the greatest reference of the genre today), play with Zakk Wylde and Eric Johnson on the tour Experience Hendrix and receive public compliments from Myles Kennedy (vocalist of Alter Bridge and the solo band of Slash). Makes recurring visits to Brazil for shows – such as the best of blues and rock 2023 and the last edition of Rio das Ostras Jazz and Blues Festival 2025 – but obviously without the same frequency with which he performs in American territory.
It is even strange that Arthur is positioned in the penultimate line of the poster, even because it is an alternative festival, given the relevance of his work within the Blues Rock segment. One of your albums, Fading Away (2020), is among the best released in the genre in recent years. Conditions offered separately, it is still a good opportunity for Arthur to show to a different audience from usual its sound that is totally bluesy, but adds external references that include classic rock, soul and even baião.

Papang
Papang It’s rock, but it mixes so much that, from this list, it may be the band that best fits the Lolla proposal. The still modest catalog of two albums of the group formed in Paraíba fuse progressive rock with Brazilian styles, especially from the Northeast, and other subgenres of rock and metal. Goes from maracatu to metal naturally, as especially in the latest album, the praised Lampião King (2024).
The acclamation has been so great that the sextet began to occupy not only larger stages, such as Knotfest Brasil 2024, but also more distant: they are currently in their first international tour in Europe. Curious to know the gringos reaction to the use of flute, triangle and even rubber chicken by the band. There is no reason to displease, either abroad or lollapalooza.
*Lollapalooza Brasil 2026 takes place at the Interlagos racetrack in São Paulo on March 20, 21 and 22.
