Vocalist of the American band Falling in Reverse put Anthony Fantano in court for defamation, but could not win the action
Ronnie Radkevocalist of the American Band of Metalcore Falling in Reverselost the action filed against the musical critic Anthony Fantano.
The musician fired a fantane in court alleging defamation. According to Frontman and the only original member of Falling in Reverse, the critic hinted that he would practice “collective rape.”
Fantano, which manages the popular YouTube channel The Needle Drop, was sued by Radke last year after he posted a video of unmasking from the singer titled “This Guy Sucks” In 2023. In the video, Fantano made an analysis of Radke’s various cool problems, pointed to the controversial comments of the rocker, criticized his “shit music” and called him “possibly the biggest living trash in the rock world today.”
However, Radke could not convince the judge. The recent decision in the case was favorable to Fantano (via LUDWIRE).
Through a video on youtubeRonnie Radke said about the judicial defeat:
“I really wanted (fantane) to portray what I said and apologize for implying all these things, but he won’t. Because that’s exactly what a narcissist would do. In my case, people think I’m crazy, right? They think I’m doing it all because I’m unsure online. Guys, I’m not so serious. I make a collective rape or that I am a bad person or, you know, sometimes ‘your music is terrible’.
He added:
“That’s why I sued it and that’s the point I’m getting up. I knew I was going to lose the process. It’s not a big deal. It’s just a process for defamation. The reason I did this is to post, so I can post something and say what I think before Anthony. Because, you know, Anthony will record a video to gain views and pay rent.”
Critical talks about Ronnie Radke’s process
The musical critic Anthony Fantano also manifested himself for X/Twitter (via LUDWIRE). It was the first time the journalist commented on the case. According to him, the victory was a relief.
“I didn’t want to turn it into something bigger than necessary, and besides, I didn’t want to give the person who was processing the satisfaction of me might be writing or simply having the ability to interpret anything I was doing or saying.
Fantano states that at no time has he considered giving in and portraying before what he said about Radke. The musical critic explains:
“All headlines, tweets, fights, and ronnie ads on this subject publicly put me in a position where I thought: ‘I need to take it to the end. I can’t simply allow it to be silently resolved in favor of him or something, because it will pass the message that anyone who hates me can simply resort to lawyers whenever I say that you don’t like it completely. Dane. “
