Starts this Wednesday, 17, the Amazônia Live – Today and alwaysmovement of Rock in Rio and The Town that puts spotlight in the Amazon. Through various initiatives, the project reinforces the need to preserve the forest standing and protect its people, contributing to the global challenge of reducing carbon emissions.
The initiative is inserted in the region that will receive the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30). The idea is to follow the same line as the global meeting: to unite people around a single agenda for a better and more sustainable world.
In that regard, Amazônia Live – Today and always will hold a TV special with show of Mariah Careyand a historical presentation of four generations of the music of Pará with Dona Onete, Joelma, Gaby Amarantos and Zaynara on a floating stage on the Guamá River.
How to watch the Live Amazon
This Wednesday, 17, from 18:15, the special will be broadcast to all of Brazil by Multishow and Globoplay, with open signal. On TV Globo, the audience gives the best moments of the event, right after the star of the house.

EVENT OBJECTIVE
According to the organization, the purpose of the event is to draw attention to the need to keep the forest standing, by protecting its original peoples, and contributing to the global challenge of reducing carbon emissions.
The stage in honor of the Queen of the Water is already mounted on the Guamá River. The structure weighs 13.2 tons, of which 10 tons are the weight of the flower. The rest is divided between the central structure of the stage, 1.2 tonne, and two tons for part of scenography and technique, such as light and audio. The materials used to assemble the stage are low impact, with the structure of the petals made of metalon and fabric magazines and can be reused after the event.
