Disco gathers collaborations with Paulo Miklos and Jadsa, as well as musicians from the Bahia Symphony Orchestra
After more than a decade in São Paulo, the Living from idle symbolically returns home with Hasta la bahiafifth studio album that opens a new chapter in the trajectory of the Bahian band. Launched by the seal Portal and produced by André tfully in Salvador, the album represents a reunion with the origins, now with the drummer Gabriel Burgos integrating the formation.
The work of eight tracks translates the maturity of almost two decades of road into a plural sound, where the characteristic alternative rock of VDO Expands to influences from funk, soul and disk. This fusion of genres reflects both the artistic evolution of the group and its renewed connection with the Bahian musical diversity.
Among the highlights of the album is “Baila Me”partnership with Paulo Miklos of the Titans which combines groove and sharp guitars in an irresistible invitation to the movement. The album also brings “There is no secret”intimate duet and dreamer with Jadsa and coasinated by Ronei Jorgein addition to “The Steppe Wolf”partnership that adds rocker weight to the album with Martin Mendonçaguitarist of Pitty.
The visual identity of the album also carries special meaning. Created by Victoria Zacconiwith illustration of Jajá Cardoso (Band vocalist), the cover presents a swallow, a universal symbol of freedom, destination and home. “We wanted the cover to be an extension of music and our history. Swallow represents just that: go and go back, carry the experiences and find home again,” explains the band.
Formed by Jajá Cardoso (voice and guitar), Luca Bori (low and voice), Davide Bori (guitar) and Gabriel Burgos (battery), the Living from idle It accumulates a solid trajectory since 2006. The group has stood out for a unique sound that mixes alternative rock with bahian influences, always marked by letters of strong lyricism and attitude.
