THE 49th International Film Festival in São Paulo It happens between October 16th and 30th, but has released part of its schedule and the exhibition circuit of the 2025 edition. Among the confirmed titles is Bugoniastarring Emma Stone (Poor creatures), one of the most anticipated films of the year.
In total, more than 15 productions have been announced that reinforce the diversity of curatorship. The event will have 18 rooms at 11 addresses For paid sessions, as well as free spaces and popular values around the city. The show will have special sessions in the São Paulo Sala and the Portuguese Language Museum, as well as exhibitions in traditional rooms such as CineSesc, Cultural Reserve, Cinesala, Multiplex Marabá and the Brazilian Cinemateca Rooms. Popular spaces, such as SPCine Olido, CCSP and Roberto Santos Library, are also part of the program, as well as CEU units, which will display movies for free in the 2nd Mostrinha.

Leon Cakoff Award
Mauricio de Sousa will be the great honoree of 49th Showreceiving the Leon Cakoff Award in recognition of its historical contribution to the culture and formation of generations of Brazilians. In 2025, the cartoonist turns 90 and celebrates the debut of his biography, “Mauricio de Sousa – The Movie”directed by Pedro Vasconcelos and starring Mauro de Sousa, his son, who will be shown firsthand during the festival.
