There are minor Bullet Train spoilers below, so read at your own risk.
High speed train gave fans a very silly, but tough action story Directed by Brad Pitt. David Leitch’s latest film has a lot to offer, but many fans like myself may have greatly appreciated its various nods to a certain engine of fantasy. The world of Thomas the chariot engine he acts in the big events of the film in a very funny and sweet way. While the nods in the final production were nice enough, it turns out that a major reference to Thomas has been removed.
In the film, the talented British assassin Lemon (played delightfully by Brian Tyree Henry) emerges as a huge fan of Thomas the chariot engine. The brutally honest character explains throughout the film that the children’s show was instrumental in learning to read. Some might be nice and cheeky like Thomas, while others might be more hateful like the sneaky Diesel. Lemon sometimes classifies people by giving them stickers of the Thomas characters that best fit their behaviors.
These decals are good visual cues that are enough to have a laugh, especially if they’ve loved the little blue engine on the Isle of Sodor for a long time. but during the High speed train premiere, composer Dominic Lewis revealed that the film was to have another nod to the iconic franchise. Lewis apparently planned to inject a very familiar melody into the soundtrack:
There was a moment towards the end of the film, there was a bit of emotion between Brad and Brian, between Lemon and Ladybug. … Lemon is obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine, it’s true, and to everyone he meets, he gives a character of Thomas, be it a Percy or a Gordon, whatever you think. And I made this great emotional version of the Thomas the Tank Engine theme, the British theme. love you [Giovanni] Pacinian, lyrical, massive.
As someone who grew up loving the franchise, I would have loved to hear an opera version of it the original Thomas musical theme . I can’t even imagine how great it would have been to hear that blaring music in the IMAX theater during my performance. Unfortunately, Dominic Lewis explained that the idea didn’t get the response he expected:
Because we were doing everything on the Zoom equivalent, so we weren’t in the room together, so we weren’t in the room together. I thought it was a delay, but it was like, ‘That’s great. I think we may want to go back. I don’t think it’s really suitable for this scene.
Despite this welcome, the fist fight The composer enjoyed working on the action thriller and went on to say that his director had “complete faith” in what he was doing. From there, he summed up the concert as a “wonderful experience”.
I still can’t help but wonder what your opinion is on this Thomas the chariot engine However, the theme would sound like. However, I am not going to discredit David Leitch’s hints of Thomas. These are real firsts, especially considering how little love the really useful engine on the big screen is getting. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing What 9 Shane Acker would do with a Thomas movie .
But as I reflect on the beautiful engine, High speed train returned to the top of the box office (during what was immediately a slow weekend). However, don’t let this stop you from watching the movie, that promotes brutal action scenes in tight spaces Yes Brad Pitt’s “beautiful” distracting blonde locks . I’m not sure many people would have imagined that such a film would have thrills like this and sprinkled Thomas references here and there, but I am very happy that it is.
