Single profits will be destined to charity institutions for patients with Parkinson; “I’m grateful for being able to do this,” said Rob Halford about partnership with longing artist
Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne exchange verses about power and exploitation in their newly released “War Pigs”from Black Sabbath. The launch marks Osbourne’s first posthumous musical appearance since his death at the age of 76 in July.
“It’s the first time in my life that I can do a duet with Ozzy, and I am forever grateful and blessed for having managed to do that”shared the vocalist Rob Halford During a recent appearance in the Full Metal Jackie podcast.
“Ozzy sings a line and I sing another line, and Ozzy sings another line and I sing another line”added Halford. He credits his union with Osbourne to Sharon Osbournewho was a fan of Judas Priest’s “War Pigs” version. “Can we call Ozzy?”Halford remembers she asked. “I was like, ‘Are you wondering? This will happen!'”

Although it is a bit bittersweet that the launch will take place shortly after Osbourne’s death, Judas Priest is honoring him, allocating the single “War Pigs” income to relevant charity institutions. THE GLENN TICTON PARKINSON’S FOUNDATION – Priest’s guitarist, GLENN TICTONalso affected by Parkinson – and the Cure Parkinson’s will receive donations.
Osbourne revealed his diagnosis of Parkinson in 2020. “I felt a numbness on my arm because of surgery; my legs get cold”he said at the time. “I don’t know if it’s Parkinson or what, you know, but that’s … See, that’s the problem. Because they cut their nerves when they had surgery. I had never heard of nerve pain, and it’s a strange feeling.”
Sharon helped him explain the condition, observing: “There are so many different types of Parkinson. It’s not a death sentence, nor from afar, but it affects certain nerves of your body. It’s like you have a good day, a good day and then a very bad day.”
Osbourne added: “I feel better now that I admitted that I have Parkinson. And I just hope [meus fãs] Stay firm and be there for me because I need them ”. Osbourne managed to do a real farewell show in the weeks preceding his death and his fans honor him ever since.
