Tocna emerged as a joke between Gustavo and a friend last year. “We wanted to create a sort of human character and half animal. We chose Toucan because we were following this wave of characters created by artificial intelligence. It ended up giving up the project, but I continued and transformed that idea into something bigger,” he says.
The character brought the public from the Internet with San Paolowho appeared in the background in comic videos on the city. He gained versions in different languages - and he was in Spanish to make the track more and get to Jay -Z.
“The translation emerged spontaneously and fun, as part of the meme,” says Gustavo. “The idea was to play with versions in other languages, to be in French, Indian, all within this proposal of humor and parody.”
