Musician who has played with giants such as The Who, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and David Gilmour is on the singer’s new album, Something Beautiful, released this year

In May this year, Miley Cyrus released his ninth studio album – disregarded the records as Hannah Montana -, Something Beautiful. The record has several guests, but one of them seems to have impressed the singer in a special way, to the point of pulling rare public praise.

This is the bassist Palladino Pinwhich has played with giants like The Who, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour and Elton Johnbetween others. The Welsh musician recorded all the downs of Cyrus’s new work.

In a recent statement days before Palladino received a tribute at the ceremony of the Welsh Music Prize (via Music), the singer ripped compliments and the 67 -year -old veteran. Even the 32 -year -old artist cites his importance in music “Lockdown”which also has David Byrne (Talking Heads) and whose duration goes beyond 13 minutes.

“It was a great honor to have the pin playing on my last album. He’s in all the songs, including one 13 minutes. I don’t know if we would have done it if it wasn’t because we just didn’t want the pin to play. Working with you, pin, it’s a dream, it’s always the best.”

Who also demonstrated deep admiration for Palladino in recent weeks Questlove. Drummer, DJ, American producer and journalist, who played with the bassist on D’Angelopraised:

“If I had only one person to choose to play low for the rest of my days, I would choose Palladino Pino.”

Tribute to Pino Palladino

Pino Palladino will be honored at the Award Welsh Music Prizefrom Waleson October 6th. He will be laureated by the whole of his work and the importance in the development of bass as a musical instrument.

When he learned of the awards, the musician and television presenter Jools Holland It also melted by Palladino. Both played together in the early 1980s in the band Squeeze.

Holland stated:

“I can’t think of anyone else deserving this prize than Pine Palladino. He touched everyone and is constantly requested worldwide. Some musicians have a great touch, some have a great ear, some have a great technique, some a great feeling. Occasionally, a musician invents a new style or sound with his instrument, but pin is the only person I know that can really claim it all.”
