The series premieres simultaneously with ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show’, extended edition of the concert film from The Eras Tour
Taylor Swift will finally release a documentary about the The Eras Tour – his sixth world tour that took place between 2023 and 2024. From December 12, 2025, the six-part documentary series The End of an Era (The End of an Era, in free translation) will be available exclusively on Disney+. The first two episodes will air on the premiere date, and the rest will be released weekly. For the first time, Swift will go behind the scenes of her life during one of the most ambitious tours in pop history.
The news was announced this Monday, which, naturally, fell on October 13th. In a clip from the production, Swift is relaxing after a show. Too excited to sleep, the singer runs a bath and makes plans to watch TV and sign 2,000 CDs until all the adrenaline wears off.
Swift rolled two ads into one. The End of an Era will debut simultaneously with Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Showextended edition of the concert film The Eras Tour. When the film premiered, in the middle of the tour, the album The Tortured Poets Department (2024) had not yet been released. Swift later included the album in her setlist, which was recorded at the last show in Vancouver for this release.
“It was the end of an era, and we knew it,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “We wanted to remember every moment that led to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories that emerged as it concluded. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
The concert film features appearances from Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, and more, including close friends and family who supported Swift during the extensive tour.
On Sunday, the program Good Morning America teased that he would reveal “what’s next” for Swift in a promotional video.
“She’s back. Taylor Swift breaking records with the biggest album debut in history, with more than 4 million units sold”, comments an off-screen voice in the teaser, which features an excerpt from the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia”.
