The qualifying round of the America has talent Season 17 went on strong into week two, bringing back Golden Ringer winner Madison Taylor Baez (who Surprised by her audition for “Amazing Grace” ) and Chapel Hart (che opened with a message for fans after her last original song ). However, the other nine acts had a lot to offer without the buzzer, and the Brown Brothers put on a performance like no other overnight. We thought it would be cool. Even for a Las Vegas show, it’s a very eye-catching flashy movie. We really wanted to create a number that only works for Vegas.

The brothers, both Navy veterans, impressed the judges during their audition with just a keyboard for Nate Brown, a deck of cards and a mix of songs for Gabriel Brown’s impressions. They upped the ante for qualifiers, with more instruments, a multi-character song and some tech magic to go along with “A Million Dreams”.

However, it turns out that they didn’t always plan to pamper themselves. the greatest showman for taking the opportunity to make it to the final and win the million dollar prize and the Las Vegas stage show. Nate Brown explained:

We were originally going to do a Dear Evan Hansen song, which is a song we really like. We are both autistic and a lot of music and history [is relatable]. But unfortunately, we did a song from that show at the end of our audition, so when we told our producer, he said, “Well, let’s find another song.” And so, after a lot of chatter, we finally landed on “A Million Dreams”, which is also a great song and has a great message.

In their first performance, the brothers faced Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” as Kermit the Frog, Nickelback’s “Photograph” as Donald Duck, Train’s “Drops of Jupiter” as SpongeBob Squarepants, Lewis’ “Someone You Loved” Capaldi like Simon Cowell. (which had the real Simon Cowell in points), and Dear Evan Hansen“You will be found” as, fittingly, Ben Platt, which the two brothers sang together. “You Will Be Found” was a great way to end the audition, but it also meant they couldn’t use a Dear Evan Hansen song for the playoffs.

The brothers did not let themselves be lost Dear Evan Hansen arrest them and found a connection with the the greatest showman also the song, as Gabriel Brown explained:

I feel we identify with that too. We have had a life full of challenges, like most people. But we kept the dream alive. We are here today, I think, partly for that. We wanted to sing a song that made sense to us but also fit the show and Vegas.

The Brown brothers kept the dream alive, but for them America has talent the journey continues?
