The singer has rescheduled her show in Charlotte, North Carolina for November 7 in order to ensure she can ‘perform safely’
Renee Rapp has postponed a third show on her current tour, citing an ongoing illness that has caused her to lose her voice, according to information from Rolling Stone.
After postponing the performances in Atlanta and Tampa — which would take place on Sunday and Monday — until November 4th and 5th, Rapp announced that they will also need to postpone tonight’s show in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new date will be November 7th.
“As of now, I’m still voiceless,” she wrote in an Instagram Story late Tuesday night. “I’m slowly recovering, but I’m still not in a position to perform safely tomorrow night at my hometown show. I’m sorry and heartbroken to have to postpone.” She added that “all original tickets will remain valid for the new date.”
“Once again, I want to emphasize that I know the time, effort and preparation that going to a show requires,” he continued. “I promise this won’t go unnoticed. I’m taking this time to recover, and next week, at these rescheduled shows, I’ll give you the best version of me. The best version of this show I love so much. The show you deserve to see. I love you, and we’ll see you, ATL and Tampa, next week. Thank you for all the messages and well wishes.”
On Sunday, Rapp had announced the postponement of the dates in Atlanta and Tampa, noting that this was the first time in his career that he had to reschedule a show. “I have been facing illness, but my body has finally given in,” he wrote. “My doctors have said it is not safe to perform for now due to the need for vocal rest and physical recovery.”
After completing the rescheduled presentations and a break for the holidays, Rapp will head to Australia, where they will perform in Melbourne on January 31st. In March, she embarks on a series of performances across Europe.
Rapp released his most recent album, Bite Mein August. The record followed his 2023 debut album, Snow Angeland includes the single “Leave Me Alone”, which she performed live on American Music Awards from last year. The tour Bite Me started on September 23rd Red Rocks Amphitheaterin Denver.
