BLACKPINK breaks records with the new captivating K-Pop music video

South Korean band BLACKPINK released their latest music video. Titled “Pink Venom”, the video features a colorful look, a fast-paced musical style that mixes the rhythms of hip-hop with the classic sound of the Korean zither, a stringed instrument that dates back to the 5th century.

This mix of classic and contemporary elements is also present in the visual references of the clip, which highlights modern and ancient scenarios.

The result seems to have satisfied the fans, because in a few hours the clip became the most viewed on YouTube, exceeding 75 million views.

With that, the group has already broken the record for “Kill This Love”, which had recorded 56.7 million views in the first 24 hours of release. It is worth mentioning that “Kill This Love”, as well as “How You Like That”, has already been viewed more than 1 billion times on the video platform.

“Pink Venom” is the group’s first new song in two years since the release of “The Album”, their first studio album, which produced hits like “How You Like That” and “Lovesick Girls”.

The new song is part of the “Born Pink” album, due out on September 16th and which has already amassed over 1.5 million pre-orders. So here’s another record.

Elected this Friday (8/19) the “largest female group in the world” by the American magazine “Time”, BLACKPINK are back with a campaign to match, called “Light Up The Pink”, which in the last few hours has started to light up several historical monuments around the world (such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Santa Monica Pier and Tokyo Tower) with pink lights.

In addition, the quartet formed by the singers Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will participate in the VMA 2022, the MTV awards where it competes in the Best Metaverse Performance category and the singer Lisa is still competing for the award for the best K-pop for the solo single ” LALISA “.

The event scheduled for August 28 will serve to present “Pink Venom” live for the first time, as well as mark the group’s debut in the American MTV main event.
