The Rock U program, launched by Rock in Rio, will train 30,000 professionals for the events market for free this year
Rock in Rio is the largest music festival in Brazil. The 2022 edition, for example, will be the protagonist 250 exhibitions of 670 national and international artists. But for an event of this size to take place, a lot of skilled labor is needed behind the scenes. Therefore, in collaboration with Sesc and Senac in Rio de Janeiro, the festival launches the Rock U projectwhich should train professionals for the events market.

Through a free online learning experience, the program is expected to benefit 30,000 people in 2022. According to Rock in Rio founder Roberto Medina, the goal is to bring knowledge, broaden horizons and generate opportunities in the entertainment industry.
“We seek, through this project, to professionalize the sector and legitimize our role in promoting entrepreneurial dreams that can change the world,” he says. The expectation, according to the entrepreneur, is to reach more than 100,000 people by 2030.
Free and online professional training
The course, which has more than Duration 30 hoursoffers certification in operational and executive functions, including security, cleaning, shippers, stage workers, A&B operators, operational production, operations (POE), executive production, 360º event communication and A&B producer.
At the end of the course, the participants can register their CVs in the Rock U talent bank, in partnership with Empregare, a recruiting company. CVs will be available to Rock in Rio’s partners, suppliers and agencies, who will be encouraged to hire qualified professionals for the project.
