The group shows impressive progress in the evolution of live entertainment
Coldplay came to do the biggest Rock in Rio show. They really took the concept of the show to a whole new level, using a lot of gimmicks that other attractions don’t have. The Music of the Spheres tour is back on colored bracelets, with the lights on from the band’s production. Adventure of a Lifetime was all done with mandatory lighting choreography on each fan’s arms. Who commanded the color and the time they lit were the commands of singer Chris Martin.

Heaven was a blast, the first great catharsis, and the curve kept going up. Viva la Vida followed, and what happened was so bad that Martin asked the band to play it again so they could live a little longer in that moment. The gigantism taken from an originally indie band is impressive. Coldplay are the latest rock group created to fill stadiums. It was interesting for Chris Martin to play The Scientist, remembering Mas que Nada, by Jorge Ben Jor in the beginning. Just a joke before I start playing the song under a storm.
The thriller followed, after a short rain talk and a thank you to the people who were there for Coldplay. Sunrise was something of an opening for People of the Pride and Clocks once again took the audience away from the classics. Something Just This Like Is is an issue that features members wearing alien heads. It sounds weird that way, but it all makes sense within the concept of the show. Along with Green Day, who performed on Friday, Coldplay did what everyone expected: a show above the spheres.
