To the sound of ‘Physicist’, Dua Lipa rose to world stage this Sunday 11, for the last night of Rock in Rio. One of the most popular of the edition, the show by the British singer closed the festival this year. In the lineup, the artist brought the hits of “Future nostalgia”, an album released in the midst of the pandemic and which reinvents the disco music of the 70s and 80s, with personal lyrics that speak of the loves, passions and dilemmas of a young adult. On Thursday, 8, more than 30,000 people got a taste of what the show would be like at the Cidade do Rock, as the singer also presented her tour in Sao Paulo.
The preview generated high expectations, promptly met this Sunday. Dua had an estimated audience of 100,000 people who sang their hearts out for each song. For the closing, Dua Lipa has reserved her big hit ‘Don’t start now‘. The song, which exploded in Brazil in mid-2020 and ranked among the most listened to, was accompanied by an enthusiastic audience. The lights went out and the fireworks finally announced the conclusion of the Rock in Rio 2022.
