From flashy to curious, see the highlights of the festival

The 2022 edition of Rock in Rio ended last weekend, with performances in the rain. The largest rock event in the world may have generated between R $ 1.7 billion and R $ 2.5 billion in Rio de Janeiro’s economy, according to estimates by FGV and the event organizers.
About 700,000 people passed through the city of Rock during the seven days – September 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11, the organization estimates.
See below for some other numbers of the event:
The R $ 2 million show was worth the investment
Ludmilla said she invested R $ 2 million in her show, which exceeded fan expectations and was one of the most acclaimed by social networks on the last day of the festival.
Among the costume pieces, the singer wore a look from the French brand Mugler worth R $ 7,000, which also garnered much praise.
The additional costs of BRL 8 led to a notification to Uber
Procon Carioca notified the company Uber do Brasil Tecnologia, on 9 September, to submit clarifications on the charge of the surcharges for the provision of the service, without prior notice to the customer, which appeared as “Extra charge for Uber’s special event” in the amount R $ 36.90 and the “additional Uber cost per venue” in the amount of R $ 8.00.
“The charge of the supplement is not previously communicated to the consumer. He only finds out when he checks the final receipt, that is, when he has already paid for the service. And not at the time scheduled for the race ”, explained Marcos Vinícius Almeida, director of the Inspection Department of Procon Carioca.
21 community entrepreneurs were able to sell their dishes
In collaboration with Sebrae Rio, 20 entrepreneurs from 18 Rio communities have been selected to sell their dishes in the City of Rock, such as Alecrim Gastronomia Saudável (@alecrimgastronomiasaudavel), from Bangu, and Arte Taste Gastronomia (@ cozinha.da.ed) of the Bairro School.
The complete list is available at place of the event. Additionally, Gourmet Square housed eight restaurants and a bar.

The 2022 edition of Rock in Rio featured a variety of over 500 official and licensed products under the festival’s branding. During the editions in Brazil, Rock in Rio has already reached the milestone of over 3,300 licensed products.
