It would all have been a marketing gimmick for the rapper’s new song
This Wednesday, the 13th, rapper The Kid LAROI posted a video on TikTok sniping at his former manager, Scooter Braun. On the recording, the Australian wrote “use this audio to show your latest mistake” and then put pictures of the manager, to the sound of his new track “THOUSAND MILES”.

At first, many fans were happy with the singer’s outburst. After all, Scooter Braun is known for several controversies, one of them including the rights to Taylor Swift’s old albums. However, it appears that the video was not really a criticism of LAROI.
In his Instagram stories, this Thursday, the 14th, the businessman said that all this is nothing more than a marketing strategy by the Australian and that the video was combined. With prints of conversations between the two, Scooter shows that The Kid LAROI messaged him to talk about the video idea.
“For those asking about the controversy… and my friends who are wanting to go up,” wrote Braun on his Instagram. “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet,” he concluded then.
In fact, the two laughed at the fact that people had fallen for the prank. “People are calling from the media thinking you and I have a real beef,” Scooter sent the rapper. “I’m dead (laughs). They’re quick with it,” the rapper replied.
Also, in stories, Scooter Braun highlighted that The Kid LAROI’s new track, which arrives on April 22, was produced by a partner of his.
Scooter Braun shares text messages with The Kid LAROI revealing the TikTok diss was a stunt which Laroi ran by him first:

Finally, it is worth remembering that the duo ended their contract in September last year, after only four months of working together. Apparently, the end of the contract was amicable between the two.
