The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift’s first tour since 2018, generated historic demand
Taylor Swift is back on stage! The Eras Tourthe singer’s first tour since 2018, tickets went on sale last Tuesday, the 15th, and the singer’s website Ticketmaster crashed with many simultaneous accesses.
The company responsible for the tickets stated that they suffered from “demand without historical precedent,” resulting in the postponement of sales of some presentations. To date, 52 US shows have been announced.

The queues in the virtual environments exceeded eight hours and part of the fans ran out of pre-sale tickets. Although the initial stage was intended for the loyal audience of taylorwith the so-called “verified fans” system, resale sites already offer seats for astronomical prices, exceeding US$ 22,000.

Swift has not yet confirmed whether the tour will pass through South America. The singer had a date scheduled for Brazil, with sold-out tickets still in Lover Tourbut had to cancel due to the covid-19 pandemic.
