Elvis’ daughter predicted her own burial during tragic life

Exactly 20 years ago, in the song “Lights Out”, Lisa Marie Presley sang, in her debut as an artist, what would happen this Friday, January 13, 2023: “that’s where my family is buried / The last time I was there I noticed a space left / Oh, beside them in Memphis, yeah / On the damn back lawn.”

Anyone who has been to Graceland, the most famous mansion in the world, where his father, Elvis Presley, died, knows what he’s talking about. On the back lawn of the Memphis mansion, there is a mini-cemetery where Elvis lives, his parents, the singer’s twin brother (stillborn) and in the following days his only daughter, Lisa Marie.

Better than the prediction he made in an interview for Playboy magazine at the same time:”(If not buried in the back of Graceland) is able to shrink my head, put it in a glass jar and display it in the living room (from the palace), to attract more audience”.

The song’s lyrics and acid humor set the tone for the life the king of rock’s daughter led, who died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 54 on January 12 – she would have turned 55 on February 1 .

She was 9 years old when she saw her father die in the Graceland bathroom. She had the same eyes, lips and face as Elvis, which he passed on to her four children.

It was an omen of the troubled and, in a sense, tragic life he led.

Her parents were separated when Elvis died and her mother, Priscilla, had a rude boyfriend (Michael Edwards), who abused Lisa Marie as a teenager. She attributes it to her own bias that led her to marijuana, cocaine and Scientology a few years later.

Lisa Marie has had four marriages. Two very famous-with Nicolas Cage, with whom she was married for just over three months, and with Michael Jackson, between 1994 and 95.

From the marriages he had four children and one of them, Benjamin Keough, committed suicide in 2020, at the age of 27.

Since her last marriage, with Michael Lockwood, she had twins, Harper and Finley, and a year after the end, in 2017, pedophile images were found on her ex-partner’s computer.

With a history of a father who died at 42 and a grandmother, Gladys, at 46 (whom Elvis was hallucinated by), not to mention a stillborn twin brother (whom Elvis was haunted by), Lisa follows the Presleys’ sad fate.
