THE Spotify announced GLOW, a global program to celebrate the role of the LGBTQIAP+ community in culture and music. Seeking to highlight “historically marginalized voices,” the project fights for equity in the audio industry.
Eleven artists were invited to launch the initiative. Between them, Pablo Vittar and Linkerwhich join Sam Smith, tove lo, Villano Antillano, Joesef, arlo parks, bruses, Natalia Lacunza, Jean Seizure and Leland.
The proposals of GLOW include creating a hub on Spotify featuring LGBTQIAP+ voices suitable for queer users. Also, there is the global playlist GLOWwhich will be updated monthly with releases from artists in the community.
