Coldplay works on a new album and can play songs in Brazil

Moon Music is Coldplay’s next album, described as the second volume of Music Of The Spheres

Coldplay already working on the album’s successor Music Of The Spheres (2021). The British group’s next album should take a while to arrive, according to Chris Martinbut the public can expect new music at shows scheduled for 2023.

In an interview with City News (via billboard), vocalist revealed that the next album will be like the second volume of the previous one and will be called Moon Music. Martin stated that the band will play some tracks “at some point this year.” THE Music of the Spheres Tour passes through Brazil in March, with 11 shows sold out in different cities.

Without giving spoilers of the project, Chris mentioned the possibility of working with guest artists. The most recent album features contributions from Selena Gomez, BTS, We Are King and jacob collier.

“That’s a problem. We’ve had some amazing guests on recent records and tours. But it’s always difficult because you realize, ‘Wow, this person is so much more talented,'” he said, and laughed in a relaxed tone. HER, which opened the band’s series of concerts, was cited as one of the examples. In Brazil, the band chvrches will be the opening act.

THE Coldplay can receive one of the highest honors from the City Council of Rio de Janeiro following an application published on December 14th. Bearing in mind the relationship between the band and the city, the Board of Directors of the house proposed the delivery of the Medal of Merit Pedro Ernesto to the group.

According to a request published in the Official Gazette, the Board of Directors believes that the Coldplay deserves to receive the honor for being “one of the most famous and important rock bands today”. In addition to the group’s trajectory, the house also mentioned the “remarkable” relationship maintained between the band and Rio de Janeiro.
