Osaka made her entrance at Arthur Ashe Stadium wearing a custom design by fashion label Who Decides War before defeating Russia's Anastasia Zakharova 7-6, 7-6 in her first-round match. The opening outfit was created by Who Decides War designers Ev Bravado and Téla D'Amore. Osaka completed the Jacquemus look with dark sunglasses and high-heeled sandals. The sleek black silhouette provides a sharp contrast to the voluminous, streetwear-infused tulle garment worn during her opening match, demonstrating a versatile wardrobe strategy.
