Vanderpump Rules star Natalie Maguire has signed a four-single debut EP deal with Vitalize Records, an independent record label founded by her manager Steff Agathis.
The 27-year-old reality television personality and singer rose to fame after joining the cast of Bravo's Vanderpump Rules during a major cast shake-up for season 12.
Maguire worked as a waiter mixing business with pleasure at SUR in West Hollywood, a restaurant owned by Lisa Vanderpump where staff drama frequently overshadows the dining experience.
While appearing on camera, Maguire has also been pursuing her music career, having released her debut single, Passenger, earlier this year.
"I'm genuinely so excited about this next chapter of my music," Maguire told The Daily Mail regarding her record deal. "I feel like I've grown so much, not only as an artist, but as a person, and for the first time I really feel like I'm creating from a place of knowing exactly what I want to say and how I want it to feel."
Collaborations with industry veterans
Maguire's upcoming EP will feature creative contributions from music industry veterans Harv and Tay James. The project will be A&R'd by James, while Harv will co-produce and co-write the tracks.
"Working on this EP with Harv and Tay James has been incredibly exciting because I'm being pushed creatively while still making music that feels completely true to me," said Maguire, who is managed by Agathis through her management firm, Vitalize Projects.
The singer explained that appearing on Vanderpump Rules gave her a unique platform to connect with audiences while sharing her personal journey.
"Having people discover and connect with my music through Vanderpump Rules has also been really special," Maguire said. "The show has given people such an honest look into my life, so being able to share my music alongside that feels very full circle."
She added: "I've been a creative person for as long as I can remember, and expressing myself through performing and storytelling has always been such a big part of who I am."
Maguire noted that writing music provides an outlet to channel her life experiences directly into her artistic work.
"I love that music has become another way for me to take everything I'm experiencing, the good, the messy, the heartbreak, the confidence, and turn it into something creative that other people can connect with," she said. "I'm really proud of what we're making, and I can't wait for people to hear this side of me."
Local roots and musical ambitions
Throughout the twelfth season of Vanderpump Rules, Maguire documented her efforts to build a music career alongside her shifts at the West Hollywood eatery.
During an episode of the show, she spoke about growing up near pop superstar Ariana Grande and how that shaped her career aspirations.
"I always knew I was going to be a singer actor," Maguire recalled on the broadcast. "Ariana Grande grew up in the neighborhood next to me and she made it big real young. So like, why not me?"
She continued: "We grew up going to the same mall, we grew up eating the same Italian food... we are literally putting the same stuff into our bodies so the same sounds are coming out of our body."
History of Vanderpump Rules and recent recast
Vanderpump Rules launched in 2013 as a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, following the personal and professional lives of the wait staff working at Lisa Vanderpump's Los Angeles restaurants.
For over a decade, the series centered on long-running cast members including Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, Tom Schwartz, and Katie Maloney as they navigated relationships and work at SUR.
After years of cast shifts, Bravo announced in 2024 that it would completely replace the original ensemble with a brand new lineup of personalities.
The updated season 12 cast features Maguire alongside fellow new ensemble members Venus Binkley, Marcus Johnson, Audrey Lingle, Kim Suarez, and Demy Selem.
Reflecting on the transition during the reboot announcement, executive producer Lisa Vanderpump praised the outgoing cast members and welcomed the incoming group.
"The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between," Vanderpump said at the time. "I can't thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules."
