Reality television star Nathan Massey has revealed his seven-month physical transformation on Instagram after an unflattering holiday photograph taken by a friend motivated him to lose weight.
The 34-year-old former Love Island winner posted before-and-after images on Thursday showing off his toned physique following months of consistent training and lifestyle changes.

Massey explained to his followers that the turning point occurred during a holiday a year ago when a friend took a photograph of him from behind.
Writing directly over the images uploaded to his account, Massey shared: "A year ago I thought I was in great shape until my friend took a picture of me from behind and I was shocked... So I thought it was time for a change."

Reflecting on his progress alongside a final image of his slimmer frame, the father of two added: "7 months in and I'm feeling great! Life's all about balance..."
Gym mirror selfie and celebrity support
In the recent post, Massey posed for a mirror selfie inside a gym after taking off his top, wearing navy shorts and white trainers.

He captioned the post with advice for his followers, writing: "Life's not about extremes - it's about balance, consistency and just keeping yourself ticking over."
The update drew supportive comments from fans and showbiz peers. Emmerdale actor Danny Miller commented, "Go on son!!!" while podcaster Jamie Morton wrote, "Smashing it mate."

Hours before sharing his workout progress, Massey offered another look at his trimmed figure while getting dressed to attend a football match, drawing further compliments from followers.
Love Island history and vasectomy challenge
Massey rose to fame in 2016 after winning the second series of the ITV2 reality dating show Love Island alongside Cara De La Hoyde. The couple later married and share two children, son Freddie-George and daughter Delilah.

The couple revealed earlier this week that they do not plan to expand their family, with Massey agreeing to book a vasectomy after losing a social media bet.
Speaking on their Fubar Radio show, Not In Front Of The Kids, 36-year-old De La Hoyde stated she was "desperate" for her husband to undergo the procedure to prevent future pregnancies.

De La Hoyde explained her stance on the broadcast: "On the occasion that we do have sex, there's still a chance I'm going to get pregnant. I don't want to go and have an abortion. There is no way on earth I'm going to have another child, and I don't want to put myself through that mentally, and physically."
She added that after experiencing childbirth twice, Massey "having a little slit in your ball bag" was minor in comparison.

Massey expressed concern over the surgery, protesting: "It's the crown jewels man, what if it goes wrong?"
To decide the matter, Massey challenged their followers to leave 500 comments and 3,000 likes on their Instagram page, promising to book the procedure if the milestone was reached. Although fans met the target, the couple have not yet updated followers on whether the surgery has been scheduled.
