Disney+ is launching two new series on August 26, 2026, kicking off a week of premieres across Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Movistar Plus+ and Filmin that runs through August 30.
The most anticipated arrival of the week is Toda la verdad de mis mentiras, a Spanish Netflix production based on a novel by author Elísabet Benavent. The series follows two roommates who join a bachelorette party held in a caravan, where feelings surface that leave a lasting mark on their group of friends.
Disney+ pairs a crime comedy with a Simpsons special
Disney+ opens the week with Gutiérrez is mai neim, a series that begins with the murder of the Russian ambassador. The case lands with Sub-Commissioner Gutiérrez, a poorly prepared police officer, and when the CIA steps in to take control of the investigation, Gutiérrez decides to play his own game.
The streamer also releases Los Simpson: Yellow Mirror, a double special episode paying tribute to Black Mirror, the British anthology series known for its dark, technology-driven storylines.
Movistar Plus+ revives its Catalan sitcom
Movistar Plus+ brings back La casa nostra on August 27. The sitcom draws on the spirit of classic Catalan television comedies and sets it in present-day Barcelona. Its second season returns to family conflicts, imperfect friendships, romantic relationships and everyday situations pushed to their limit.
