Singer Nicole Scherzinger has taken to the stage in Dublin with The Pussycat Dolls after suffering severe boiling water burns to her leg just an hour before a concert in Germany last weekend.

The 48-year-old performer spilt boiling water down her leg shortly before she was due on stage in Düsseldorf, leaving her with painful burns and blisters. Despite the injuries, Scherzinger returned to perform alongside bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt at The 3Arena on Monday as part of their PCD Forever tour.

Scherzinger showcased her figure at the Dublin venue in a skin-coloured illusion body stocking embellished with silver sequins in a bikini pattern. She joined Roberts, 45, and Wyatt, 44, who wore similar racy ensembles, with all three group members completing their stage outfits with lace-up boots and glam makeup.

Despite experiencing discomfort from the scalding injury, Scherzinger appeared to give the performance her all as she belted out the group's tracks alongside her bandmates. The girls also sported pink, oversized parachute-style ensembles on stage during the concert, with Scherzinger smiling through the pain to deliver the show for her fans.

Düsseldorf incident and Manchester appearance

The accident occurred last weekend in Düsseldorf, a major city in western Germany, when boiling water spilt onto Scherzinger's leg only an hour before she was due on stage. Taking to Instagram last Sunday, the singer shared a picture of her burns and blisters just a day after the incident took place.

Determined not to let the injury ruin the PCD Forever reunion tour, Scherzinger insisted that the show must go on. "Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set - but the show must go on," the lead vocalist wrote. "Thanks Düsseldorf for keeping me going. See you soon Amsterdam."

Over the weekend following the incident, Scherzinger displayed her burn injuries in cropped leggings as she stepped out in Manchester, North West England. Departing her hotel, the hitmaker kept a low profile in a black baseball cap, sunglasses, and Nike trainers, while looking in good spirits as she greeted fans outside and signed autographs.

Health experts recommend swift action in the event of thermal burns. According to NHS guidance, individuals suffering a burn should immediately cool the affected area under cool running water for 20 minutes. Guidance also advises removing any tight clothing or jewellery near the injury site before swelling begins.

Comeback single and cancelled North American tour

The Pussycat Dolls announced their high-profile comeback in March alongside the release of Club Song, their first single in six years. The track was produced and co-written by American musician Mike Sabath. The pop and dance group, originally formed in Los Angeles, achieved massive commercial success throughout the 2000s with chart-topping hits including Don't Cha and Buttons.

Scherzinger, Roberts, and Wyatt originally announced they would be reuniting as a trio for a massive 53-date run spanning the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America. The trio launched their reunion tour in Copenhagen, Denmark, in September, followed by concerts in Paris, France, Warsaw, Poland, and across the UK.

However, the group was forced to axe the entire North American leg of their reunion tour last month following dismal ticket sales. The humiliating blow forced organisers to scrap 33 scheduled show dates across the United States and Canada after poor sales left arenas up to 80 per cent empty.

Even after promoters slashed ticket prices to just $30, organisers had no choice but to pull the plug only a month before the group was set to perform their opening North American concert in Palm Desert, California, on June 5.

The band issued an official statement on Instagram addressing the cancellation. "When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world," the statement read. "After taking an honest look at the North American run, we've made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates."

The group assured fans that European concerts would proceed as scheduled. "Our UK and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out," the statement continued. "We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time."

The trio concluded: "We're working hard to create the kind of show we've always dreamed of bringing to you. We cannot wait to bring this reunion to Europe and make these nights unforgettable."

Ticketmaster and AXS confirmed that customers who purchased tickets directly through their platforms will receive a full refund automatically. Fans who bought tickets through third-party resellers have been advised to contact their original point of purchase directly.

Reunion controversy and excluded founding members

The Pussycat Dolls reunion has been marred in controversy since it was first announced due to the exclusion of three founding members: Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton. The original six-member line-up rose to global fame prior to an extended hiatus beginning in 2010.

Bachar and Sutta revealed they were both blindsided by the reunion announcement and were never invited to take part. Expressing her frustration over the three-member tour arrangement, Sutta went as far as to describe the comeback venture as a "cash grab."
