The British band Oasis announced on Monday a new world tour for 2027, with concerts planned across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.
Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, whose relationship was marked for years by public clashes, will play 38 concerts, including 11 shows in their hometown of Manchester. The run will also stop in Glasgow, Munich, Paris, Amsterdam and Boston, among other cities.
The tour will open in Glasgow in May 2027 and close with four concerts in September at Knebworth, three decades after the duo's historic performances at the venue north of London.
Return to Knebworth
Knebworth Park became part of Oasis lore in August 1996, when the band played two nights there to a combined crowd of around 250,000 people, one of the largest concert attendances in British history. More than two million people are said to have applied for tickets at the time.
Knebworth House, a stately home in Hertfordshire, has hosted large open-air concerts for decades, featuring acts including Led Zeppelin and Robbie Williams.
Britpop was a mid-1990s wave of guitar bands that dominated the British charts, with Oasis and its rival Blur among its biggest names. The movement blended anthemic choruses with a brash, working-class attitude that came to define the decade's music scene.
Manchester has a long musical heritage, having also produced bands such as The Smiths and the Stone Roses, and remains closely linked to Oasis's identity.

A Famous Feud
Oasis, the band behind hits such as "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Supersonic," formed in Manchester in 1991 and became one of the defining acts of British music in the 1990s. "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?", the band's second album, became one of the best-selling British albums of all time and included "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger."
The Gallagher brothers' rivalry became one of the most documented feuds in British music. Oasis split in 2009 after a backstage altercation between the two before a show in Paris, and for years afterwards both traded insults through the press and social media. The band had spent weeks hinting at a second leg of its reunion tour before Monday's announcement.
Gallagher Brothers Confirm the Tour
Oasis confirmed the news on social media on Monday, saying celebrations should begin.
The band said that after a period of reflection, the group once described as the most damaging pop cultural force in Britain's recent history had decided it was ready to return to action and would once again come back to lift people's spirits.
How to Buy Tickets
Fans will need to register for a chance to buy tickets when they go on sale between 25 and 27 September. Registration systems have become common for major reunion tours as promoters try to limit ticket touting and automated bot purchases.
A Reunion Three Years in the Making
Liam and Noel Gallagher announced in August 2024 the end of their famous 15-year feud and their reunion for a world tour, an announcement that triggered a rush for tickets.
More than two million people attended the 41 concerts held across Europe, Asia, Australia and South America, generating revenue of around 300 million pounds, roughly 400 million dollars.
Some fans, however, criticised sudden price increases and high resale costs during that tour, which led Britain's Competition and Markets Authority to open an investigation.
