The long-sleeved, high-neck gown flashed Anderson's sheer-nylon-clad legs through the extra-high slit and left her back fully exposed. She paired the look with shiny black pumps and a matching sparkly clutch.
Anderson, 59, wore her signature makeup-free look for the outing, with her blonde hair styled in voluminous waves. She is the mother of Brandon Thomas Lee, 30, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 28, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee.
A Run Of Red Carpet Looks
The New York appearance capped off a string of striking outfits Anderson wore while promoting her road trip drama "Place to Be" at the 2026 Venice Film Festival.
At the September 9 screening of the film, directed by Kornel Mundruczo, Anderson wore a bright sunflower yellow satin Carolina Herrera gown featuring an off-the-shoulder bodice and long, billowy sleeves cinched at the wrists.
Two days earlier, on September 7, she wore an ethereal violet ensemble made up of a monochromatic chiffon cape-like blouse and matching skirt while supporting her "Place to Be" co-star Ellen Burstyn, who received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival.
On September 6, Anderson wore a tangerine orange Calvin Klein gown with a matching shawl to the amfAR Gala Venezia, where she received the Award of Courage.
Opening Up About Hepatitis C
While accepting the amfAR honor, Anderson spoke about her diagnosis with Hepatitis C in the 1990s, a viral infection spread through blood that causes swelling in the liver, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Speaking onstage at the amfAR Gala Venezia on September 6, in a video shared by Variety, Anderson said, "It was a death sentence. That's what my doctor told me, that I probably had around 10 years to live."
A cure for the condition was discovered ten years after her diagnosis. Anderson said she is grateful to now be "Hep C free," but the experience has stayed with her.
"My experience of shame and guilt was also an unconscious journey. It stays with me. It haunts me."
