Paolla Oliveira danced samba on stage during Ivete Sangalo's concert on Sunday, November 1, at the Rock the Mountain festival in Itaipava, Rio de Janeiro.

The 44-year-old Brazilian actress joined the 54-year-old singer after Sangalo invited her up during the third day of the music event in the state's mountainous region. Video shared on Oliveira's Instagram account showed the actress displaying her samba footwork and rhythm alongside the musician from Bahia.

Ivete Sangalo invited Paolla Oliveira onto the stage at the Rock the Mountain festival on Sunday.

Shortly before stepping onto the stage, Oliveira watched the performance from the crowd alongside Jeniffer Nascimento, who plays the role of Nancy in Quem Ama Cuida. In clips posted to the singer's Instagram page, the two women sang and jumped together during the show.

Sangalo's concert closed out the schedule for the festival's opening weekend. Addressing the Petrópolis crowd during her set, the singer said that she did not merely have hot energy that day, but had extra-hot energy.

Paolla Oliveira and Ivete Sangalo in Brazilian entertainment

Oliveira is one of Brazil's best-known television actresses and serves as the drum corps queen for the Imperatriz Leopoldinense samba school in Rio de Janeiro. In Brazil's annual Carnival parades, the drum corps queen dances at the front of the percussion section down the Sambadrome runway, a prominent role that showcases traditional samba dancing.

Sangalo, born in the state of Bahia, is among Brazil's best-selling performers after rising to fame in the 1990s as lead singer of the axé band Banda Eva before launching her solo career. Rock the Mountain is an annual open-air music and arts festival held across two weekends in Itaipava, a district of Petrópolis north of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Rock the Mountain festival lineup and second weekend dates

Several other Brazilian and international musicians performed for fans during the festival's first weekend. The lineup included British singer Jorja Smith, Brazilian music veterans Paulinho da Viola and Marcos Valle, singer Dora Morelenbaum, and the musical project Dominguinho, which is formed by João Gomes, Jota.pê and Mestrinho.

Additional acts who took the stage at the event included Priscina Senna, Timbalada, Afrocidade, Ebony, FBC, Filipe Toca, Gretchen, Toni Garrido, Urias and Midnight Generation.

Rock the Mountain will hold three more days of concerts from November 6 to November 8. Sangalo returns to the festival stage on Sunday, November 8, and event organisers will release the performance times soon.
