Pedro González López, known as Pedri, has dyed his hair platinum white silver after Spain's World Cup win, fulfilling a promise he made before the tournament. The Spain and Futbol Club Barcelona midfielder shared the transformation on social media.

Pedri wrote on social media that promises are meant to be kept, adding that as world champion he had promised to go blond. He joked in parentheses that he now promised not to delete the post.

Following his teammates' lead

Pedri joins several Spain teammates who have carried out promises made ahead of the World Cup. Marc Cucurella got a large tattoo of coach Luis de la Fuente's face on his arm, while Gavi shaved his head and dyed it bubblegum pink.

Pedri's new look features a platinum white silver color with a small, playful quiff. He shared a video documenting the transformation.

Transformation at a Barcelona salon

The video shows Pedri wearing a black cape bearing the name of the salon that carried out the transformation, Sua-B, known for its specialty barbering work. The Tenerife-born player posted footage of his changing look, ending with him posing satisfied with his short, bright white hair.

Pedri completed the change just before rejoining training with his club team in Barcelona.
