Pete Davidson and his ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt have reached a co-parenting agreement, little more than two months after their breakup became public.
The 32-year-old comedian and Hewitt, 30, welcomed their daughter Scottie Rose in December 2025. News of their split surfaced in May, following 14 months of dating.
"We are cooperatively coparenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us," the two said in a joint statement issued Friday, per People.
Hewitt's Claims and the Response
After the breakup, Hewitt posted on social media saying she was raising Scottie "on my own." In a TikTok video, she said she was caring for her daughter and supporting herself alone, which she described as hard. She also appeared to confirm in a since-deleted comment that she was managing financially on her own.
Sources quickly pushed back on those claims, telling the Daily Mail that Davidson covers all costs associated with Scottie, including childcare, as well as Hewitt's rent and health insurance. A separate insider said Davidson had made himself fully available and consistently prioritized time with his daughter since the split.
"He wants Elsie to be comfortable and successful," the insider said.
The Split
An insider told Us Weekly at the time of the separation that Davidson and Hewitt had tried to make their relationship work, but faced different stressors, including having a baby together as two people who did not yet know each other well. The source described a reconciliation as very unlikely.
Weeks before the split became public, a separate source had told People that the couple was facing issues but was trying to figure things out together, with both adjusting to parenthood.
Days after news of the breakup broke, Hewitt posted on Instagram looking for an assistant or nanny, describing herself as needing a "right hand person."
Life With Scottie
Hewitt has continued to share glimpses of motherhood on social media. On July 12 she posted photos of herself and Scottie in matching pink outfits to mark the baby's seventh month. Most recently, Hewitt shared that Scottie had her first swimming lesson, with the baby wearing a strawberry swimsuit for the outing.
