Familiar Spanish animated co-production that gives us a delicious detective story that remains within the conventions of Who Did It?
This delicious detective remains within the conventions of the Who did it?but in animated film format, with insects and spiders as protagonists. Its majority audience is the smallest, but the ingenious use of the possibilities offered by the different insects, with fireflies, for example, acting as spotlights on a stage, and the puns, such as the lethal black widow spider being the femme fatale of the plot, make it very funny for adults.
To the most cinephiles It also offers a multitude of winks, such as a pilot reminiscent of Marty Feldman, dialogues along the lines of Groucho Marx’s tongue twisters and phrases of absurd logic, as in ‘Land as you can’. There is even a didactic aspect, since it teaches children to distinguish insects from arachnids by their number of legs, three pairs for the first and four for the second. The technical aspects do not detract from a live action movie. The ending suggests possible new adventures for the funny characters.
To enjoy in a family session, both kids and adults
The best: the character of Sun’s little helper.
The worst: something declines in the last section, after a hectic development.
