Rivals star Rufus Jones is married. The 51-year-old actor, who plays MP Paul Stratton, husband of Sarah Stratton (Emily Atack), in the raunchy Disney+ comedy series, tied the knot with model-turned-interior designer Philippa Allam in a civil ceremony last week.
Photographs shared on Instagram on Tuesday showed Philippa in a flowing white satin and lace dress with delicate floral detailing, paired with bright yellow heels. She carried a large, rounded bouquet featuring pale yellow-green blooms and purple sprigs.
The couple's twin daughters featured sweetly in the pictures, wearing white dresses and floral headbands and each carrying small bouquets of white and yellow wildflowers. Rufus wore a cream suit with a white open-neck shirt and cream loafers, and the newlyweds showed off rings made of colourful hoops.
Philippa captioned the joyful post: "We did it @rufusjones1 (sic)."
On September 6, Rufus had already shared a black-and-white wedding photograph of the pair sticking their middle fingers up at the camera. "Literally lost count of the number of wellwishers on here. We had an unforgettable day and thank you so much for reaching out," he wrote.
He added: "And special thanks to @jimfieldsmith who - when he's not reinventing TV - comes to old pals' weddings and selflessly captures the to and fro with an eye watering ease and style. Thank you one and all. Love's the only road, isn't it? X (sic)."
The couple were showered with congratulatory messages in the comments section of Rufus' post.
Off To Spain For Emily Atack's Wedding
There has been no time for a honeymoon yet, however, as the newlyweds have jetted to Spain to attend the wedding of Rufus' Rivals co-star Emily Atack. Atack is due to marry Dr Alistair Garner once again in a second star-studded ceremony on Saturday, watched by her Rivals co-stars in the whitewashed hilltop town of Mojacar, a popular tourist spot on Spain's southern coast known for its Moorish-influenced architecture.
Rufus shared a selfie from Spain on Instagram on Friday, captioning it: "Southern Spain, you absolute horndog."
Who Is Rufus Jones In Rivals?
Rivals is based on the novel series by the late Dame Jilly Cooper, one of Britain's best-selling authors, celebrated for her raunchy sagas set among the English upper classes. The show follows the power struggle between rival television executives Tony Baddingham and Declan O'Hara in the fictional English county of Rutshire. Jones plays Paul Stratton, a philandering Conservative MP married to Sarah Stratton, played by Atack, who is best known for playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the sitcom The Inbetweeners.
The show also stars Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black, David Tennant, best known for playing the Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who, as press baron Tony Baddingham, Aidan Turner, who found fame in the BBC drama Poldark, as Declan O'Hara, Bella Maclean as Taggie O'Hara, Danny Dyer as Freddie Jones and Katherine Parkinson as Lizzie Vereker.

This week, Disney+ announced when the second half of Rivals series two will arrive on the streaming platform. The first half of season two, which came out in May, ended on a cliffhanger, but fans will be able to see how the rest of the series plays out from November 11.
A synopsis for the second half of the season revealed that, following a shocking turn of events in the sixth episode, the residents of Rutshire would be rocked by tragedy, scandal and betrayal as the battle between Venturer and Corinium reaches breaking point. Tony Baddingham and Declan O'Hara's contest for the Cotswolds crown hits a fever pitch, while Rupert Campbell-Black is forced to confront his own personal demons.
Across hedonistic parties, Bonfire Night chaos, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and a turbulent Christmas, affairs unravel, alliances fracture and rivalries intensify, according to the synopsis. Caught in the middle of the frenzied franchise battle, Taggie O'Hara must find the courage to follow her heart while everyone else faces the consequences of ambition, power and secrets they can no longer hide.
In June, Disney+ greenlit a third series of Rivals, confirming the show will return for a further run.
