Spanish fashion designer Rocío Osorno has signaled that pistachio green is set to be a leading color for autumn 2026, stepping out in a midi dress from Zara priced at 29.95 euros.
Osorno's choice comes as turquoise blue, which dominated dresses, outfits and accessories this summer, begins to give way to softer, earthier greens for the new season. Her outfit also offers a ready-made look for the weddings and celebrations that continue after August.
Details of the Zara dress
The dress Osorno wore belongs to Zara's new collection and costs 29.95 euros (ref. 5039/674/515). It is a fluid midi design with an asymmetric top that leaves one shoulder bare while featuring short, wide sleeves with a ruffle effect.
The fabric gathers slightly at one side of the waist before flowing into a long, simple skirt, a detail that adds movement without relying on prints or other decorative elements. That clean construction lets the green tone, which sits between pistachio and light olive, take center stage, moving away from the more saturated shades typical of summer.
Styled with black and an oversized choker
To take the look into the evening, Osorno avoided pairing the green dress with light-colored accessories and opted for black instead, creating a much sharper contrast.
On her feet she wore black heeled sandals with minimalist lines, while she carried a small black bag with a glossy finish. Both were understated choices next to the accessory that truly transformed the dress: an oversized crystal-embellished choker that wraps fully around the neck and falls in several rows.
This is not the first time Osorno has reached for this piece of jewelry to complete one of her looks. Bringing it back with a dress that costs less than 30 euros also shows the impact a statement accessory can have when paired with much simpler garments.

The result also points to a different way of wearing pistachio green once summer ends.
