Rock in Rio has completely sold out tickets for September 7, the festival date featuring English pop icon Elton John and Brazilian music legend Gilberto Gil at Cidade do Rock in Rio de Janeiro, organizers announced. The date marks the sole performance of Elton John at the festival.
The 11th edition of the renowned festival takes place across seven dates on September 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13. Tickets remain available for five of the remaining dates on September 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13 through the official Ticketmaster website.
Rock in Rio is one of the largest music festivals in the world, held at Cidade do Rock in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The sold-out September 7 date coincides with Brazil's Independence Day holiday, bringing together international superstars and iconic Brazilian musicians across multiple stages.
Festival organizers stated that remaining tickets can be purchased in the Lawn (Gramado) and Comfort Zone categories. Buyers can choose between Full Price (Inteira), Half Price (Meia), and Itaú Benefit options, with the Itaú promotion offering a 15 percent discount.

The headline-grabbing September 7 program concludes on the main World Stage (Palco Mundo) with Elton John performing at 00:05, following Gilberto Gil at 21:20, Jon Batiste at 19:00, and Luísa Sonza inviting Roberto Menescal at 16:40.
On the Sunset Stage (Palco Sunset) on September 7, Laufey leads the schedule at 22:45, preceded by Péricles singing Motown at 20:10, Roupa Nova inviting Guilherme Arantes at 17:50, and Vanessa da Mata inviting Rubel at 15:30.
