Sami Sheen has shared new dusk beach photos wearing a hot pink bikini on Instagram amid an ongoing estrangement from her father Charlie Sheen. The 22-year-old daughter of actors Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen posted the sunset images to round out the month of August.
The photos showed Sheen posing on a beach as evening approached. Wearing a high-waisted thong two-piece swimsuit, she struck exaggerated expressions for the camera, posed with her arms over her head, and lay on her side in the sand against the backdrop of a colorful sunset for her 236,000 Instagram followers.
The new beach shoot comes as Sheen maintains financial independence from her famous parents through her work on the adult subscription platform OnlyFans. Sheen joined the site in June 2022 and has since become one of its top earners.
OnlyFans is a London-based internet content subscription service founded in 2016 that allows creators to earn money directly from subscribers who pay monthly fees for exclusive photos and videos.
OnlyFans Earnings and Financial Freedom
According to People, Sheen reportedly earns $80,000 a month on OnlyFans. Total estimates indicate she has made well over $3 million since joining the platform in June 2022.
Sheen has previously stated that her earnings from the site allowed her to purchase her own car and rent her own apartment without financial support from her mother or father.
Her mother, Denise Richards, is an American actress and former fashion model known for starring in movies such as Wild Things and Starship Troopers, as well as appearing on the reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Her father, Charlie Sheen, is a Hollywood actor who rose to fame in 1980s cinema hits including Platoon and Wall Street before starring for eight seasons on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Father-Daughter Estrangement and Sobriety
The latest social media images come two years after Sheen was last photographed in public with her father. The pair were last seen together at a restaurant in March 2024, accompanied by Richards and Sami's sister Lola.
Despite their ongoing distance, Sheen previously revealed that she was unaware she served as the catalyst for her father's decision to get sober. The revelations emerged last year in Charlie Sheen's Netflix documentary, aka Charlie Sheen, and his memoir, The Book of Sheen.
In those releases, the actor recounted an incident from 2017 when, after drinking three coffees mixed with whiskey, he had to ask a friend to pick Sami up from an appointment. He explained that her quiet reaction in the car convinced him to quit alcohol and drugs permanently.
"Sam was very quiet," Charlie Sheen wrote. "I didn't need to be clairvoyant to know exactly what she was thinking. 'Why is Dad not driving again? Why isn't it just the two of us in the car like it used to be? When will that moment ever return? When will Dad ever return? I miss him.'"
After watching the documentary, Sheen posted a video to social media showing herself looking tearful with emotional music playing. "I didn't know I was the reason he got sober," she wrote in her caption, adding that the film was "honestly a 10/10 documentary."
Charlie Sheen Speaks on Hope for Reconciliation
The actor previously admitted during an interview on Good Morning America last year that he did not fully understand what caused the rift between them. Good Morning America is ABC's long-running national morning news and talk program.
"I feel like as long as everybody's still in the game, there's always a shot for a better tomorrow, you know," Charlie Sheen said on the program. "I don't really know what I did, that's the problem. I don't know what I'm supposed to yet apologize for."
"But I have absolute faith that it's not a forever thing, and her and I will work it out," he added. "You know, we have a history that's too valuable to let, you know, some moment destroy all of that."
The Two and a Half Men star noted that maintaining his sobriety has helped rebuild his relationships with his other children. In addition to Sami and Lola, he is the father of 16-year-old twin sons Max and Bob with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, and 41-year-old daughter Cassandra Estevez from a high school relationship.
