Entrepreneur Savannah James revealed she was turned away at a Hermès store in Italy despite having an appointment, resulting in a saleswoman being fired.
The 39-year-old entrepreneur, who has been married to National Basketball Association (NBA) star LeBron James since 2013, recounted the story alongside her friend and business partner April McDaniel while appearing on Danielle Robay's Question Everything podcast this week.
McDaniel detailed the Hermès blunder while discussing shopping trips throughout their travels. She recalled that employees "treated us like s**t" at the Italy location despite the pair hustling, adding that after they complained to higher-ups, "They closed down that whole motherf*****g store."
Savannah corroborated the store closure, saying, "They did." McDaniel added that the fashion house "fired the lady" after she told the employee, "We’ll be back for you. I’ll be right back." Representatives for James and Hermès have been reached out to for comment by The Daily Mail, which has not yet received a response.

"We had an appointment," Savannah cut in, adding, "And they tried to act like it was..." McDaniel then interjected, "I said, baby, you caught the wrong one today."
McDaniel noted that while her friend was "very nice," she was less patient with the staff regarding the slight. Her frustration led to a full-on shopping spree after she demanded: "We’ll be back here. The whole store is closing down. We're bringing out [crocodile leather] and everything."
Joking about the situation, McDaniel said, "You want some smoke? You done caught one. I am crazy like that." She shared that they ended up "in the private room with champagne and macarons," while Savannah confirmed that "They brought out everything."
McDaniel added, "I said I’ll take bathing suits, I’m buying silverware," explaining that "I was living my best life."

Savannah's podcast appearance comes weeks after her 41-year-old husband announced a two-year, $8 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. The sports icon previously played eight seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers and stated in a lengthy post on X that while he strongly considered retiring, he believes he still has "more to give."
Savannah and LeBron share three children: sons Bronny, 21, and Bryce, 19, and daughter Zhuri, 11. Asked by Robay what advice she would give to other wives and girlfriends of athletes, the mother of three answered: "Pay attention to yourself as much as you're paying attention to your partner."
She added: "Don't lose yourself in the babies, if they come. Don't lose yourself in the facade of what all of this looks like. Try to stay grounded, try to stay authentic to who you are, and what this connection was from the very beginning."
