Apple TV+ will release the fourth and final season of Silo in summer 2027, the showrunners announced. Rebecca Ferguson, who plays engineer Juliette Nichols, will return for the concluding chapter of the post-apocalyptic underground-bunker series.
Season three is still airing, with its finale scheduled for September 4. The final season will be adapted from Hugh Howey's 2013 novel Dust, the third book in his science fiction trilogy.
Writer Graham Yost told fans at San Diego Comic-Con that the closing episodes of season three will reveal the origins of the entire silo network and events from 140 years before the main storyline. He also said that Tim Robbins' character Bernard, who dies in the book, will survive on screen and his story will continue.
No premiere date for the season four opener has been set, and the rest of the cast has not yet been announced. Season three currently holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics calling it the best the show has produced.
