Pop veteran Sir Cliff Richard, 85, has released a teaser for his 2027 calendar, showing his silly side in a series of wacky looks from exotic locations. The upcoming release marks the 49th edition of his annual calendar collection.

The singer has released annual poses since the 1970s. He regularly outsells major music stars, including former One Direction member Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.

The new images include a shot of Sir Cliff wearing a tuxedo T-shirt while holding a mug that reads "his lordship." Another photo shows him leaning into 1960s and 1970s psychedelics, wearing a funky rainbow T-shirt and round yellow-tinted sunglasses in front of vibrant bottles.
Tribute to Cilla Black
The 2027 calendar also features a tribute to his late friend Cilla Black, who passed away at age 72 in 2015. Sir Cliff, wearing a tie dye jacket and shorts, stands at the back of a boat named "Cilla" alongside two glasses of champagne.

Sir Cliff and Cilla Black shared a close friendship lasting around 50 years after meeting in the 1960s when both were among Britain's biggest pop stars. Their relationship continued through their television careers, with the pair spending time together in Barbados, where both owned homes, and dining in Marbella.
Speaking about the calendar, Sir Cliff said: "My favourite pastimes are travelling and spending quality time with friends and the pictures in the 2027 calendar are a small snapshot of some wonderful times in May and June this year in various locations." He added: "I am delighted to be sharing these with you in my 2027 calendar, of which, I am so proud. It might be a bit early but a happy 2027 to you all."

Calendar Sales and History
In another photo, Sir Cliff poses on a chair in front of the sea, offering two images of himself, while another picture shows him reading a book he authored titled It's Great To Be Young.

Sir Cliff's total calendar sales since 1979 are reportedly around the £2million mark, beating figures for David Beckham. According to Calendar Club, his 2022 release was the best-selling calendar of any music star, with Elvis Presley second and Styles third.
Danilo Promotions, which tracks calendar sales, placed Sir Cliff's 2024 calendar in fourth place, with Taylor Swift top and Styles outside the top five. In 2023, Sir Cliff announced an end to his tradition of posing topless, having done so in a swimming pool for his 2022 calendar.
"I suspect I have done my final topless photo for my annual calendar... it's time to gracefully exit the Chippendales market," he said. His 2026 calendar is currently available.
