Polyakov explained that species such as herring, sardines, mackerel, and capelin provide an optimal balance of nutrients. He noted that these smaller fish are rich in beneficial omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids while offering a high-quality source of complete protein.

The nutritionist cautioned that larger fish tend to accumulate significantly higher concentrations of toxic components over time. Polyakov emphasized that marine fish in particular carry elevated levels of these harmful environmental toxins.
