Spider-Man: New Day has reached $1.1 billion at the global box office one week after its premiere, including preview screenings.
The superhero film is now the highest-grossing movie of 2026. It surpassed Toy Story 5 ($1.07 billion), Michael ($1.016 billion), and Super Mario: Galactic Movie ($1.011 billion).
Spider-Man: New Day recorded the biggest US opening in history by earning $360 million in American theaters during its first weekend. Analysts expect the film to earn about $2 billion worldwide by the end of its theatrical run.
Story Details and Russian Release
The film tells a new story in the life of Peter Parker, set four years after the events of No Way Home. Peter continues to protect New York from crime while his loved ones have completely forgotten he exists. A new spree of crimes in the city brings out one of the most dangerous enemies in his life.
The movie will open unofficially in Russian theaters on August 20.
