Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has revealed she broke her teetotal lifestyle to party in Ibiza with her three sons.
The 55-year-old television presenter allowed herself her annual drinking day during a trip to the island's famous O Beach club, where she enjoyed Paloma tequila cocktails alongside her sons Sam, 24, Finn, 21, and Jack, 20.
Reid shared photos from the trip on Instagram, posing in a black swimsuit alongside beach club dancers holding placards encouraging revellers to vote for Good Morning Britain at the upcoming National Television Awards. The social media upload quickly gathered 10,000 likes from followers.
Annual holiday tradition
Speaking about her summer holiday, Reid explained that she thoroughly enjoyed celebrating on the Spanish island. She told The Mirror that she loved the experience, noting that as a 55-year-old, going out and enjoying herself in a swimsuit in Ibiza was great fun.
The presenter explained that she generally abstains from alcohol entirely throughout the year. She allows herself just one designated day to have a drink, choosing a Paloma cocktail made with tequila and grapefruit juice. Reid added that she kept her drinking steady while visiting O Beach and did not go mad.
Teetotalism refers to the practice of total abstinence from alcoholic beverages. A Paloma is a classic tequila-based cocktail traditionally prepared by mixing tequila with grapefruit juice or soda and fresh lime.
Early mornings and nightlife
The health-conscious star noted that she consumes a couple of drinks before leaving the beach venue at around 8pm, leaving her sons behind to continue clubbing into the early hours of the morning. Even while on vacation, Reid remains accustomed to early mornings, choosing to rise early for exercise and sunrise walks along the beach.
Good Morning Britain is ITV's flagship weekday morning news and talk program, broadcasting live across the United Kingdom. As co-anchor of the breakfast show, Reid maintains a demanding schedule that requires waking up at 4am for live broadcasts.
Reid shares her three sons with her ex-husband, television producer Dominic Cotton. Reflecting on her family holidays, Reid previously mentioned that it was an amazing experience to enjoy Ibiza with her boys now that they are old enough to visit clubs together.

Reid is set to return to Good Morning Britain next week following the conclusion of her summer break. Presenters and production staff will be waiting to see if the ITV morning show takes home the Best Daytime Programme prize at the National Television Awards on September 8.
