Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Nine Months of Cancer Treatment

Teddi Mellencamp has revealed she has nine more months of weekly immunotherapy treatments ahead as she continues her stage 4 cancer battle. The 45-year-old television personality shared the health update on Thursday alongside a throwback exercise video from 2024 posted to her Instagram story.

Reflecting on the old workout footage, Mellencamp joked about her past social media posts. "Pre-brain tumor Teddi took herself very seriously on the gram," she wrote to her 1.2 million Instagram followers.

"Nine more months of [weekly immunotherapy] treatments. Let's hope I'll be back to being cringe in my workout posts soon [because] I know y'all miss them," Mellencamp wrote.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who is currently in remission, called immunotherapy "the worst" and admitted she was feeling "sick" during the treatment process. She asked her followers for recommendations on comedies and stand-up specials she can stream while recovering.

Mellencamp had no detectable cancer in her body as recently as last October following an intensive series of medical procedures. Her treatment included radiation therapy alongside several surgeries to remove 16 melanomas on her back and plum-sized tumors on her brain. Representatives for Mellencamp did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Mail.

Medical Treatments and Family Celebrations

Immunotherapy is a specialized cancer treatment that helps the immune system recognize and attack cancer cells. Mellencamp, who also competed as the Calla Lily on The Masked Singer, has been open about her health journey with fans throughout her recovery.

Alongside her medical treatment, Mellencamp is focused on family celebrations. She is gearing up to throw a 12th birthday bash this Friday for her son, Cruz Arroyave.

Mellencamp and her estranged husband, 49-year-old Skyline Security CEO Edwin Arroyave, are parents to 13-year-old daughter Slate, 6-year-old daughter Dove, and 11-year-old son Cruz. Arroyave also has a 17-year-old daughter, Bella, from a previous relationship with his ex Christina Mecklenburg.

Mellencamp and Arroyave paused their 2024 divorce filing due to her ailing health. The former couple continue to date other people while partly sharing their 6.5 million dollar marital home in Encino, a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Their 13-year marriage reportedly crumbled following her rumored months-long affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder, while his wife, Karli Postel, was pregnant with their second child.

New Relationships for Both Exes

Both Mellencamp and Arroyave have started dating new partners while navigating their separation. On Thursday, Arroyave shared an Instagram story of himself dancing with his girlfriend since October, Elsa, during a romantic getaway to Portofino, Italy.

The mysterious blonde posed with an autographed vinyl record during the Italian trip and wrote, "Looks like we won a prize for dancing!"

Mellencamp has also moved on, going Instagram official with her new boyfriend, PJ Conley, after they attended a concert by her famous father, musician John Mellencamp, at the Hollywood Bowl in California on August 10.

The self-described "cougar" is 14 years older than Conley, a financial benefit analyst and former Mormon missionary who is pursuing a master's degree in business at USC Marshall School of Business. Speaking on her Two Ts in a Podcast show on August 12, Mellencamp gushed about her new partner, asking, "Isn't he cute?"

"He's a nice guy and he's funny," Mellencamp said on the podcast. "He got along effortlessly with the fam - my brothers, my sisters, my dad. My dad met him, but then didn't say anything straight away. He just was like, 'Hi, nice to meet you.' But I just kept it moving because I was with so many people."

She recalled that her rock star father brought up the meeting the next day. "And then yesterday, my dad comes over," Mellencamp added. "He lights up a cig. 'You gonna try not to tell me that was your guy that you introduced me to? You thought you were just gonna slip that in?'"
