Streaming service Netflix has postponed the fifth and final season of The Witcher to 2027, according to media outlet What's on Netflix. The final episodes of the fantasy series were originally expected to premiere on the platform in 2026.
The outlet reported that mentions of future episodes disappeared from promotional materials for the online cinema. Sources later confirmed the delay to journalists, though Netflix has not yet commented on the premiere date.
The fourth season of the show released in October 2025. Liam Hemsworth, known for The Hunger Games, played lead character Geralt of Rivia after replacing Henry Cavill, who opted out of the role.
Filming for the fifth season has already concluded, with the final installment set to serve as a grand finale for the series.
